WBC: Team USA Has 2 Big Commitments

The World Baseball Classic is coming up and Team USA today has 2 big commitment’s to add to their roster. Chris Perez closer for the Cleveland Indians and Giancarlo Stanton outfielder for the Miami Marlins have committed to play for Team USA in the 2013 WBC.

With the addition of players to the roster they will will bring depth to this All-Star WBC Team USA roster as they compete to win the tournament of tournaments in baseball around the world.


Other WBC news

  • Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout has stated that he will not be playing for Team USA in the WBC. This is coming prior to Trout being asked to take part in the event’s. 


  • Team Canada have made their roster final and will send in the final roster paper work in the coming days. The roster has MLB talent like Twins 1st baseman Justin Morenau, Blue Jays 3rd baseman Brett Lawrie and Brewers closer John Axford.
