Strikeforce is on it’s way out of business following their January 12th event Strikeforce fighters are now signing contracts with the UFC and 1 fighter could be signing very soon and appearing in April for his UFC debut and that is Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold.

Luke Rockhold since day 1 in Strikeforce has been their top fighters and fastest growing talent on the roster. Luke would go on to defend his title against Keith Jardine and have a memorable bout against Tim Kennedy.

Luke is not scheduled on Strikeforce’s last event and he will now leave Strikeforce as the last Strikeforce middleweight champion.

Rockhold went to his Facebook page Sunday night and announced that he is interested on being UFC’s April card which will be held in his home state of California. When you overlook this middleweight division the division has to competitors like Mark Munoz, Jake Shields and Yushin Okami. But Luke Rockhold wants a piece of fellow middleweight fighter Michael Bisping but Bisping is scheduled to take on Vitor Belfort on the UFC on FX 7 event we will have to hold on and wait to see Bisping vs Rockhold for some other event. 1. With Hector Lombard’s losing his first UFC fight and then returning to win his next match in such a dramatic fashion, the prospect of him facing Rockhold is very enticing. Although familiar to “core” fans, both men are out to make a name for themselves in the UFC.
