The Arizona Cardinals have announced that they have parted ways with 2x Pro Bowl selection tight end Todd Heap.
Todd Heap upon and during his time with the Arizona Cardinals has been really injury prone in the 2 years he has been in Arizona but his latest injury got the best of him which lead to his release from the team. Heap during his time with the Arizona Cardinals has sustained a sprained PCL, knee injuries and even hamstring injuries which lead to his release from the team.
Heap in his 2 year tenure with the Cardinals appeared in 12 games with the team and started only 5 of the 12 games. In the 2 seasons with the Cardinals Todd caught a total of 32 balls and out of the 32 he only got 1 touchdown in 2 seasons.
In response to Heap’s release the Arizona Cardinals signed former Colorado Buffaloes, Miami Dolphins and San Diego Chargers tight end Kory Sperry. Sperry through out his NFL career got the most action when he was with the San Diego Chargers. Sperry played in 23 games for the Chargers and started only in 5 games for the Bolts.
