Charlie Batch To Start Week 12

More troubles are now coming to head for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin announced that quarterback Charlie Batch will start vs the Cleveland Browns due to the injury of quarterback Byron Leftwich in Sunday’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Leftwich sustained 2 fractured ribs and is going to be sidelined for several weeks. Leftwich filled in this week for the injured Ben Roethlisberger who is currently sidelined with dislocated rib and could be out for up to 6 weeks.

In 2011 Charlie Batch saw action in 4 games for the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the 4 games Batch started 1 game and came in relief in 3. In the 4 total games Batch went 15-24 for 204 passing yards, 0 touchdowns and 1 interception.

Looking ahead to week 12 Batch is coming in the game with the Browns in a must win situation to keep a lengthy lead at the 6th seed in the playoffs. The Cincinnati Bengals are coming up fast as they   try and take over the 6th seed in the playoff’s the Bengals are 5-5 on the year.
